Drawing of Lukey and Scampy

For Christmas my wife bought me a set of drawing pencils and charcoal and a sketch pad, so yesterday I did a drawing of my son Lukey holding our kitten Scampy. I'm not sure how much of the quality can be retained through scanning it into the computer as a JPEG image, but here it is:

One thing I love about drawing (or any artistic endeavor) is that you can lose yourself in a sort of zone that is apart from the areas of your mind that keep track of time and responsibilities. After drawing the above picture (it took me about an hour and a half) my mind and emotions felt rested like I'd been on a mini-vacation.

We printed out your drawing and it came out really well. We love it. I found a matted frame but need to add either an additional mat or find one that is wider at top and bottom margins with just a teeny more at the sides. When we get it up I will snap a pic of it and email it.

That's pretty good. You scanned that??? Wow! If Kim took a photo of it, that would look real sharp. Little Scampy, what a handsome subject. This may have inspired me to draw, paint, doodle. I'm not that good but it is fun and expanding. Kolin
